This one’s more for the guys and maybe some discerning ladies. Speakeasy is what the undergroup bars were called during America’s prohibition era, the idea was to speak quietly to not arouse the attention of neighbours or the police. Nowadays it seems to refer to the revival of cocktails from those simpler times. No sugar syrups, no fruit juice mixers, just a few fresh simple ingredients in each cocktail.

Today I’d like to introduce a signature GQ cocktail, Cucumber Smash with Belvedere Unfiltered. A super refreshing drink for these summer days and nights.

Cucumber Smash
60ml Belvedere Unfiltered Vodka
4 slices cucumber
10ml yellow chartreuse

In a rocks glass filled with crushed ice, churn all ingredients
Garnish with a cucumber slice

A dash of dressing up, a splash of Mad Men-esque imagnation, voila, the perfect evening.
