What does Ashka mean?
Ashka is a nickname my boyfriend’s family came up for me (Xiaohan), Xiaohan > Joanna > Ashka, their background is Polish. Cute name, isn’t it?!

Who are the models in your photo shoots?
We only use real girls, ie no professional models for all of our fashion and beauty photo shoots. They are our friends, colleagues and just cool girls we’ve come across.

Do you photoshop?
We edit and lightly retouch our photos. We may use photoshop for small things like to remove blemishes, stray hair and even out skin tones, but we NEVER use photoshop to alter body shapes.

Why do you only use real girls in your shoots?
A lot big of publishers, companies and brands talk about promoting a healthier body image, but that’s just it, it’s all talk. We want to just go and do it! We want to promote a healthy body image by showing real girls in a stylish, fun, intelligent and sexy light, by bringing out their personalities and by proving that clothes look just as good, if not better on girls just like you and me.
